Each summer the town hosts two events:
- The Shabla Fair on June 2, which gathers people from the whole region and tourists, who have decided to visit the sea at the very beginning of the season.
- Sea Week – every first week of August. The event has exhibitions, concerts and all kinds of entertainment for the people and guests of the town.
The town itself does not have a beach. But the beaches of the Shabla camping sites are a few minutes away by car or a shuttle (which leaves from the train station) – with crystal clear water, fine sand, often surrounded by poplars. You can also visit the beach near the village of Krapetz or go directly to the longest beach in the region – the one of camping Cosmos near Durankulak.
The sea in the region is suitable for diving – many vessels have sunk here during World War II.
